Elders

Our elders have the ultimate shepherd responsibility for the overseeing, care and vision of the church. We trust God to lead through these gifted men. The Bible teaches us to lovingly support and submit to their leadership (see Hebrews 13:17 and 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13).

The elders have clearly defined qualifications (see 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1) as well as a variety of roles, including ministering to the congregation by teaching, serving, annointing of the sick, administering church discipline, determining our doctrinal positions, hiring pastors, setting compensation, and approving the annual church budget plan.
