You see, when we break man's laws we experience man's consequences. When we break God's laws we experience God's consequences. The consequence of sin is death, separation from God. But the Bible reveals that Jesus died in our place. The holiness of God is satisfied in that the penalty has been paid. The love of God is satisfied because those he loves can now be forgiven. Relationship with a loving, holy God is possible.
It is one thing to know about Jesus and what He has done for us. It is quite another to benefit personally from what Jesus has done.
