Fellowship Ministries

The fellowship team's ministry is to care for the congregation. That's a broad stroke that includes many activities and various programs in the church. At Cedar Grove, we desire for people to feel at home and for the church to provide a loving, caring family environment for all.

  • The new members CG101 class introduces people to Cedar Grove and what it's all about. The class occurs about 3 times yearly and includes great discussion, dinner, and teaching.
  • All church events are an important part of Cedar Grove's fellowship function. Annual events include the Fourth of July picnic and the Christmas dinner.
  • Caring for families within the body includes visitation, food ministries, and prayer.
  • The ceremonies of life also are part of the fellowship team ministry–baptisms, funerals, weddings, and the like.
  • On Sunday mornings, the church greeters and Information Table hostesses are there to help with whatever needs arise.

Small groups are an encouraged part of the Cedar Grove fellowship. Many small groups meet regularly for prayer, study, and personal encouragement. We have Bible study groups, plus specific aim groups. Some of the specialty groups include MOPS (mothers of preschoolers), drama, book studies, men only, women only, young marrieds.

Prayer is a central part of life at Cedar Grove. Several small groups exist to pray together regularly about specific needs. Currently, groups meet to pray for our nation, our church, the sick, marriages, and missions.

There are a lot of other things going on in small group settings too. Folks get together for scrapbooking, photography, quilting, softball, fishing, breakfast, and much more.

New groups form regularly.
